2. How long does it take to get a project quote, and how can I speed it up?
We pride ourselves on speed and responsiveness. We provide a rapid 1-hour turnaround on standard quote requests, as well as immediate verbal quotes upon request.

3. Why do I need to send vector artwork instead of a standard JPEG?
Vector artwork is line art where the computer converts the image into mathematical lines. This allows the graphic file to be resized infinitely without losing crisp sharpness or edge quality. On the flip side, a JPEG is a compressed photograph that instantly becomes blurry and pixelated when scaled up to fit a large commercial sign cabinet or channel letter. Because our manufacturing equipment requires clean mathematical line paths for our computer-controlled routers, providing vector art upfront keeps production moving efficiently.
4. What are your standard manufacturing lead times?
Once you give your final sign-off, standard turnaround times typically follow these windows:
- Standard Channel Letters: 10 to 15 working days.
- Reverse (Halo-Lit) Channel Letters: 15 to 20 working days.
- Custom Sign Cabinets: Various forms of custom welded or extruded sign boxes require a slightly longer production timeline due to the detailed fabrication involved.
All production timelines officially begin the moment you give final approval on our shop drawings.
5. Why do I need to sign an approval drawing if I already approved the project?
The pre-production approval drawing is your final absolute check on all physical and electrical details. It is the most critical window to verify exact dimensions, material colors, structural layouts, and mounting specifications. Typically, our graphics division will deliver this final drawing 48 to 72 hours after we receive your project down payment. We maintain a strict rule on the shop floor: fabrication will not begin without your signed approval.
6. What should I do when my delivery truck arrives on-site?
We manage our own logistics network, utilizing our own delivery personnel and vehicles to transport your signs safely. Once our driver arrives at your facility and unloads the job, they will personally open the packaging right alongside you for a thorough inspection.
At this time, our driver will test light the sign to verify the electrical system is operational. It is incredibly important to look over the craftsmanship carefully and note any rare damage before taking final possession, as Sign Fab is not responsible for physical damage after you take possession of the sign.
7. What kind of warranties back my finished signs?
